You already know that you want to start your own business or are thinking about it?

You are looking for impulses from experienced experts from entrepreneurship, research and teaching to learn the necessary tools for your startup process?

You want your startup to be value-driven and (nevertheless) successful?

Then this is the right place for you! All KIT students participating in the student startup competition »GROW« of PionierGarage e.V. have the opportunity to go through a special training format, the successful completion of which is rewarded with the "Startup Diploma" certificate.

The »Startup Diploma« is awarded for successful engagement with startup ideas. Workshops and pitches in the student founding contest »GROW« and selected courses at House of Competence (HoC) combine necessary business know-how with the awareness of a healthy and future-oriented attitude. PionierGarage e.V., EnTechnon and HoC pursue a common goal: to provide students with the necessary tools to successfully realise their startup idea.

If you are interested in the »Startup Diploma« certificate program, you can register HERE.

Participation requires registration in the student founding contest »GROW« of the PionierGarage e.V. and is possible regardless of individual study progress.

The course »Start Your Startup« as well as the other workshops at HoC available in the »Entrepreneurial Mindset Toolbox« can be completed in the winter and summer semester, depending on what is offered. Credit for these courses is given once in the area of »Interdisciplinary Qualifications«. No additional ECTS are awarded for the issuance of the »Startup Diploma« certificate.

As a university group at KIT, PionierGarage e.V. organizes the annual student founding contest »GROW«. Over a period of eleven weeks, the participants are supported and enabled to develop their startup idea in teams, to create professional business plans, and to test in various pitches in front of a jury and a large audience whether the startup or the product holds water. Selected workshops in the »GROW« program are the basis for the »Startup Diploma«.

In addition, institute and chair director Prof. Dr. Orestis Terzidis will judge the startup teams in the jury of »GROW«. EnTechnon sees young companies as a human-centric, self-organizing cybernetic system and designs appropriate management methods.
